I build infrastructure that is meant to be understood, operated, and improved over time.
I’m a DevOps engineer with a foundation in security operations, moving deeper into platform engineering, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and systems design. Long term, I want to grow into MLOps engineering by combining platform fundamentals with local AI infrastructure, model-serving workflows, and production-minded operations. My background in detection and incident response still shapes how I think: reliability, visibility, and operational clarity matter as much as shipping.
This site is where I document that progression. It connects the work I do professionally with the systems I build on my own time: homelab infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, detection engineering projects, and the practical experiments that sharpen how I design and troubleshoot real environments.
What I Focus On
- Kubernetes and container platforms
- Terraform and infrastructure as code
- CI/CD and GitOps workflows
- Linux systems and networking
- Platform reliability and operational visibility
- Security-informed infrastructure design
Current Direction
Right now I’m focused on growing from a security-heavy background into a stronger platform and infrastructure engineering profile.
That means building the habits and technical depth behind modern platform work:
- designing repeatable infrastructure
- understanding how distributed systems behave under failure
- improving deployment and operational workflows
- learning by building systems end to end instead of only consuming them
It also means deliberately moving toward MLOps. The homelab is part of that path: building local inference systems, routing AI workloads, and learning how model-serving infrastructure should be designed, operated, and scaled.
Professional Background
Versaterm
DevOps Engineer 1
Remote
Jan 2026 - Present
My current work centers on infrastructure, automation, and platform support. I work with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems to help engineering teams deliver and operate services more reliably.
Arctic Wolf
Concierge Security Engineer 2
Triage Security Engineer 1
Pleasant Grove, Utah
Apr 2024 - Jan 2026
My time in security operations built the foundation for how I approach engineering problems: investigate carefully, understand systems deeply, and design for maintainability instead of guesswork.
Earlier Roles
- Security Specialist at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
- IT Engineer Intern at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Those roles strengthened my grounding in endpoint security, IAM, enterprise tooling, and operational support.
What This Portfolio Represents
This portfolio is less about collecting projects and more about showing how I think.
The common thread across the work here is systems thinking:
- separating stable systems from experimental ones
- designing infrastructure with clear boundaries
- treating documentation as part of engineering
- building practical depth through hands-on iteration
